Cowboy Grass, born in ‘08, marked the turning point for D.S. & Durga. Cowboy grass began as a concoction crafted from herbs, citrus peels and flowers. D.S. & Durga took a journey to master the art of perfumery. They delved into ancient techniques, unravelling the aromatic dance between various botanicals.
Cowboy Grass was born from experimentation but became a unique signature scent.
Cowboy Grass is a scent of great contrasts. Bergamot intertwines with earthy thyme, while sage and basil juxtapose the delicate essence of rose otto. Finally, vetiver's rugged aroma shakes hands with benzoin's warmth, evoking the essence of the American Wild West.
The American Wild West: the vast expanse where grasses, herbs, and shrubs are the lifeblood and ceremony for generations. Cowboy Grass embodies this entire scene with its rugged and raw fragrance. Cowboy Grass is reminiscent of worn saddles and the lingering scent of an aged Colt 45 revolver.
“Smells like the great California outdoors! I never liked perfume before, but my friend wears this one, and I really liked it. Was very wary of spending so much $$ on my very first bottle of perfume, but I’m hooked!”
“It reminds me of being in the country. Dry, dusty country on a warm day in spring. It definitely smells like grass, but not green grass, more like tumbleweed. It is super comforting.”
“It smells like hay. Like an herb garden on the prairie. It projects really strong for a couple of hours and stays on sling for 6-8 hours. It's a really incredible effort to recreate the smell of desert grass.”
